ASO WA is a digital marketplace created to celebrate and circulate traditional African fashion.
We built ASO WA because too many beautiful pieces are worn once and never seen again.
Aso ebi, lace, gele, agbada, bridal looks, these garments hold culture, memory and meaning.
They deserve more than one moment. This is the first iteration of the platform.
Right now, ASO WA operates as a connection-based marketplace. We provide the space for users to list items, discover pieces and connect with one another directly. At this stage:
We do not process payments
We do not handle delivery
We do not store or inspect items
All financial transactions and delivery arrangements are agreed directly between users. We are intentionally starting here.
This first phase allows us to learn properly. We are gathering insight, understanding how our community rents and resells traditional fashion and identifying where trust, protection and infrastructure are most needed.
Our long-term vision is to evolve ASO WA into a fully integrated app experience. Future versions may include in-platform payments, enhanced user protections and more seamless logistics.
Any new features will be introduced carefully, transparently and in line with regulatory requirements.
For now, we are building with our community not ahead of it. ASO WA is about circulation, sustainability and culture.
And this is only the beginning.
